Text Box: ● PURPOSE NEHT is an association of riding clubs and individuals devoted to pleasure trail riding and driving. We act as a clearinghouse for information, helping riders find rides and rides find riders. Good horsemanship is encouraged through the distribution of our Pleasure Trail Riders' Guide.

Text Box: ● CALENDAR OF RIDES NEHT publishes a twice-yearly calendar that lists organized trail rides throughout New England. We list at least one and sometimes two or more rides or drives almost every weekend from April to November. Over 80 rides were listed in 2003 and more join every year. The rides are open to all.

Text Box: ● RECOGNITION & AWARDS NEHT tallies the mileage completed by each horse and rider in NEHT-affiliated rides and awards plaques when they achieve certain mileage totals (250, 500, etc.) In addition, we administer awards sponsored by breed associations and others for the highest-mileage horse each year of the designated breed.

Text Box: ●INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP Individuals may join NEHT for a fee of $10.00 per year, plus $5.00 for each horse you wish to register. Individual members receive three newsletters each year—the spring and fall ride lists and the year-end mileage totals—and are eligible for NEHT mileage plaques and sponsored breed awards.

Text Box: ●GROUP MEMBERSHIP Riding clubs and other organizations may join NEHT for a fee of $5.00 per year. Organizations receive the NEHT newsletters, which they may distribute to their members. Once a member of NEHT, a riding club or other ride sponsor may list any number of rides in the calendar for no charge.

Text Box: A professional Arabian trainer, Tina decided to focus on the "business" side of the horse business in the early 90's. After receiving her BS in International Business in 1995, Tina worked in various other industries before starting Equine Experts in 2001. Tina’s company hosts the NEHT site and she has been very helpful in it’s development. After a 20 year absence from the training scene, Tina has reopened Sagittarius Stables.
