About Us
● PURPOSE
NEHT is an association of riding clubs and individuals devoted to
pleasure trail riding and driving. We act as a clearinghouse for
information, helping riders find rides and rides find riders. Good
horsemanship is encouraged through the distribution of our

● RECOGNITION & AWARDS
NEHT tallies the mileage completed by each horse and rider in
NEHT-affiliated rides and awards plaques when they achieve certain
mileage totals (250, 500, etc.) In addition, we administer awards
sponsored by breed associations and others for the highest-mileage
horse each year of the designated breed.
NEHT publishes a twice-yearly calendar that lists organized trail rides throughout New England. We list at least one and sometimes two or more rides or drives almost every weekend from April to November. Over 80 rides were listed in 2009 and more join every year. The rides are open to all.

Join NEHT
●INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP
Individuals may join NEHT for a fee of $10.00 per year, plus $5.00
for each horse you wish to register. Individual members receive
three newsletters each year—the spring and fall ride lists and the
year-end mileage totals—and are eligible for NEHT mileage plaques
and sponsored breed awards.
●GROUP MEMBERSHIP
Riding clubs and other organizations may join NEHT for a fee of
$5.00 per year. Organizations receive the NEHT newsletters,
which they may distribute to their members. Once a member of
NEHT, a riding club or other ride sponsor may list any number of
rides in the calendar for no charge.
If you enjoy pleasure trail riding or
driving, judged or just for fun, we hope that you will join NEHT
and share some of the good times with us.
Our Mission
Faced with an inability to find information on pleasure trail rides being held in the New England area, NEHT's founders devised a plan to contact the local clubs and equestrian organizations and convince them to list their rides with us. We also decided to give our trail riding friends a little taste of the rewards that await their horse showing counterparts in the show ring in the form of a little recognition for the miles that they travel on their horses. Thus our mileage award program was also born.
Equine Experts
Tina Derby, professional horse trainer and business woman, operates Equineexperts, a marketing, sales and media company. Tina also operates Sagittarius Stables, an Arabian Horse farm in Warner, NH. Tina’s company hosts the NEHT site.
