These classes will be added at the end of Part F, as follows: Horse In Hand Section Western Horse In Hand: Entries shall be judged individually standing, and then at a walk and jog on the line. Emphasis shall be placed on type, conformation, substance, quality and manners. English Horse In Hand Open to hunter and saddle type horses, using an appropriate halter or bridle. Entries shall be judged individually standing, and then at a walk and trot on the line. Emphasis shall be placed on type, conformation, substance, quality and manners. These classes will be added to the Year End Award List on Page D3 after the Colt & Pony Section. A change in year end awards offered for Appaloosa, Quarter Horse and Pinto halter classes Change will provide for one annual award only in halter classes for Appaloosa, Quarter Horse and Pinto. Changes will affect the following sections Appaloosa Page E1 Under “A” Combine #1 & #2, Registered Appaloosa Halter, deleting reference to “two and under” and “three years old and over”. Only one annual award will be given in Appaloosa Halter Pinto Page H6 Under “A” Halter Division Under #1 Registered Pinto Halter Class to read “Pinto Halter class points will accrue to one annual award”. Delete reference to “A” Stallions-Geldings and to “B” Mares Quarter Horse Page L1 under “A” Registered Quarter Horse Division Under #1 Registered Quarter Horse Halter Class, Open Points will accrue toward one annual award. Delete reference to Stallions and Geldings and Mares. Delete also, sentence reading, “No horse may enter in more than one halter class at any one show.” HOUSEKEEPING CHANGES Under Part C – Rules Governing Affiliated Shows Page C 8 #14 Adding/Changing Classes – to clarify by adding the word “recognized” First sentence to be amended and to read : No recognized classes my be added ….. Under Part F in the 4H Section Page F4 In first paragraph, delete last two sentences reading “Show management must furnish judge with official 4H uniform score card prior to the date of the show. The uniform Score card shall be used as a specified system of judging” Under A – 4H Fitting and Showmanship Division Delete sentences reading “To be judged by the Dual Merit System and ribbons awarded accordingly. In addition, regular horse show ribbons must be awarded in the first six places” Under B – 4H Pleasure Division Delete sentence reading “At the judge’s discretion, entries may be asked to dismount and mount.”

2008 RULE CHANGES

The following changes to the NHH&TA Rule Book were approved at the Annual Meeting on January 6,  2008
